The annual New Zealand Building Industry Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner is a night to acknowledge and celebrate the practitioners behind New Zealand’s successful building projects.
For 2020, the event has an exciting new format, being held across three venues on Friday, October 30:
• The Cordis Hotel, 83 Symonds Street, Auckland CBD.
• Te Papa, 5 Cable Street, Wellington CBD.
• Christchurch Town Hall, 86 Kilmore Street, Christchurch CBD.
With finalists spread across the three venues, the MC will be cutting to live feeds from each venue for the presentations of the awards. The event will also be live-streamed so family and friends can watch online for free.
Tickets are still available for all three locations. Prices are:
• Table of 10: $2490 + GST
• Single ticket: $299 + GST ($249 + GST for NZIOB Members)
The NZIOB’s Awards programme began in 1994, with the initial emphasis being on recognising the achievements of project managers running commercial construction projects.
Over the years, categories such as the Innovation Award, Young Achiever Award, and Safety Excellence Award have been introduced to provide a broader industry focus.
In 2018, the New Zealand Building Industry Awards introduced a Consultant’s Award category, and an Interdisciplinary Collaboration Award category.
The result is that the New Zealand Building Industry Awards now have a category that all high-performing building practitioners can enter.
